Patrick DeVito is the founder of Mental Edge Training for High School Wrestlers and has been involved in the sport of wrestling for more than 36 years, as a competitor, parent, and coach. He is a certified sport psychology coach and college adjunct lecturer who holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Education, with a specialization in secondary education, from Brooklyn College and a masters degree in Public Administration from Marist College. He is also a retired NYPD lieutenant with 25 years of law enforcement experience. Patrick DeVito competed in the sport of wrestling from high school through open and senior wrestling tournaments. He has competed and enjoyed success at the local, state, national and world level. He passed his passion for the sport of wrestling to his two sons, Patrick and Matthew, who competed in youth wrestling and through high school. His daughter, Kelly, competed as a swimmer through high school. He coached all of his children in their respective youth programs and is currently an assistant coach for Massapequa High School’s very successful wrestling program (ranked 3rd in New York State). Patrick DeVito has been married to his wife, Denise, for 24 years and resides with his family in Massapequa, New York.
